The ENERGY STAR label makes it easy for consumers to identify and purchase energy-efficient products that offer savings on energy bills without sacrificing performance, features, and comfort.
To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2006 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
Well over 5,000 ENERGY STAR qualified homes were built last year in North Carolina; over 100,000 were built nationwide. Do you want your next project to be part of the energy-efficient market that consumers are shopping?
