
Crew Leader Basic Job Description:
• Install insulation and weatherization measures in new and existing construction – including attics and crawlspaces for
houses and mobile homes
• Basic carpentry both rough and finish in typical construction working conditions found in new and existing homes
• Use insulation equipment including, blowers, vacuums, scrapers, trimmer, etc. (training provided)
• Use building diagnostic equipment to assess installed measure effectiveness including blower doors and thermal
imaging equipment (training provided)
• Drive and maintain company vehicle
Crew Leader responsibilities also include scheduling, maintaining accounts, communication with crew members &
clients, ensuring crew members adhere to all safety and conduct rules, documentation & record keeping, ensuring jobs
are completed on time and the job site is left cleaner than when we arrived, excellent maintenance of tools and
equipment, including keeping equipment clean and organized on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will:
• Share our values of integrity, honesty, professionalism, and quality workmanship
• Have demonstrated carpentry skills (preference given for experience)
• Have at least some plumbing/electrical/mobile home experience
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Have basic computer skills: email, MS Office, etc. (preference given for skill)
• Have clean* background, both criminal & driving (we do a thorough background check before hire) *exceptions

• Have exceptional work ethic
• Have proven leadership and customer service skills
• Be a self-motivated, self-starter who can motivate others
• Require little supervision
• Have good estimating skills
• Adhere to our no-smoking/dipping/chewing/spitting/cussing policy
• Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and well-maintained
• Have history of promotion
• Lead by example
This is an hourly position and unfortunately there is no guarantee of 40 hours each week; although we’re quite busy
and that’s currently not an issue. We are a small company and do not currently offer paid vacations or insurance.
Scheduled time-off is available but is unpaid. We do have numerous paid holidays throughout the year.
We serve all of western NC (a lot of current work in Haywood County) and Northeast TN and occasionally the NC crews
are required to drive (company vehicle) to TN to work for a day or two if TN crew needs assistance. If an overnight stay
is ever required, we cover motel and meals.
